Wellman's newest addition to the Sensura product line is its microdenier version, engineered to provide several enhancements to the already prodigious Sensura resume. It is a .97dpf product with a 25% higher tenacity than the flagship Sensura product. The ease-of-dye properties were largely unaffected. Microdenier Sensura was designed to make finer counts of yarn than are currently available in the market, and to enhance blends with premium cottons such as Pima and Egyptian.

Microdenier Sensura is also Wellman's recommendation for yarns spun on the Murata air jet system, for those customers who face applications that are super critical for pilling.
