Mark Ruday Mark Ruday is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Wellman, Inc.

Mark graduated from Brown University with a dual degree in Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management. He received a Masters in Accounting from Bryant College in Rhode Island.

Mark began his career as an audit professional with Ernst & Young. He joined Wellman in 1991 and has held various positions in both the accounting and PET Resin areas. Prior to his current position, Mark was Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Wellman, Inc..

Mark and his wife Rosa have two children and reside in Waxhaw, NC.

Ian Shaw Ian Shaw is Vice President, Manufacturing and Research and Development at Wellman, Inc.

Ian was born in Birmingham, England and graduated from the University of Birmingham, England. Ian began his career in 1970 with I.C.I. in England. In 1976, he transferred to Fiber Industries, USA, a joint venture between Celanese Corporation and I.C.I. Ian worked at the Wellman - Palmetto Plant from 1976 -1991 in various positions in quality, technical and manufacturing. From 1991 - 1993, Ian transferred to Charlotte, NC as Research and Development Manager. In 1993, Ian became Production Manager of the Palmetto Pllant and in 1996 Ian was promoted to Plant Manager of the Palmetto Plant. In 2007, Ian was promoted to his present position.

Ian and his wife Liz reside in Florence, SC. They have two children.

Keith Phillips is Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Wellman, Inc.

Keith began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in 1977. In 1980, he went to Ernst & Young where he became a partner before leaving to join Wellman in October, 1993.

Keith is a graduate of Brown University where he majored in Mathematics. He received both an MBA and an MST from Bryant College in Rhode Island.

Keith and his wife Buffy have one child and reside in Rumson, NJ.

Steven Ates is Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Wellman, Inc.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Polymer Science. Steve started his career in 1987 as a development chemist for Morton International followed by a technical sales position with American Cyanamid. Steve joined Wellman in 1992 and has held various sales and technical positions in Wellman's fiber and PET business units. Prior to his current position, Steve was Business Manager for Wellman Inc's North American PET Resins business.

Steve and his wife Lori have three children and reside in Charlotte, NC.

David Styka David Styka is Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Wellman, Inc.

David graduated from John Carroll University in Ohio with a degree in accounting. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Wake Forrest University.

David began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Whinney in 1985. He joined Wellman in 1993 and has held various positions in the tax department prior to his current position. Most recently David was the Tax Director for Wellman.

David and his wife Rhonda have two children and reside in Matthews, NC.

Joseph Tucker Joseph Tucker is Senior Vice President, Raw Material Procurement and Strategic Development at Wellman, Inc.

Prior to joining Wellman, Joe held a variety of positions with Celanese and Fiber Industries including research & development, manufacturing and marketing positions.

Joe is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Chemistry. He received his Masters and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Purdue University in 1972 and 1974, respectively.

Joe resides with his wife Betty in Charlotte, NC.

Michael Bermish Michael Bermish is Investor Relations Officer at Wellman, Inc.

Michael started his career in 1989 first as a Research Associate with Citibank followed by an Economist position with the Sperry and Hutchinson Company. Michael joined Celanese in 1981 as a Senior Analyst, was promoted to Manager, Industry Analysis in 1987 and retained this position after Wellman purchased Fiber Industries in 1989. In 1995, Michael assumed the position of Director, Strategic Planning and Development and currently retains this position along with his Investor Relations responsibilities.

Michael is a graduate of Yeshiva University in New York City with a degree in Economics in 1972. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the City University Graduate Center in New York City in 1979.

Michael resides in New York City along with his wife Debbie and family.
