Valued for its consistency and performance, PermaClear® PET resin produces clear bottles at the maximum throughput of stretch blow molding machines.
In 2006, Wellman introduced its ThermaClearTi® PET packaging resin. This titanium- based, antimony-free product is specifically designed for hot-fill packaging applications, like juices and sports drinks. In addition to its positive environmental attributes, ThermaClearTi® PET resin enables converters to either lightweight or raise filling temperatures during the manufacturing process in comparison to conventional, antimony-based, PET resins. Wellman is also near commercialization of its antimony-free PET resins designed for CSD and water applications. These new products will allow our customers to reduce AA levels, improve clarity, and realize shorter injection cycle times.
